LIFETIME GUARANTEE

Jimy Tools & Equipment manufactures and markets professional hand tools, air tools, speciality service tools and workshop equipment, all to represent quality and value as a matter of policy.

 

All of our products are engineered and manufactured to the highest quality standards and are warranted to be free of defects in workmanship and materials.

 

Any Jimy Tools & Equipment products which fail during its normal useful life to perform satisfactorily will be repaired or replaced at no charge, subject to the exclusions set out in these terms.

Jimy Air Tools – 24 Month Warranty

Jimy Air Tools are warranted for 24 months, from date of sale. This warranty covers faulty workmanship and materials only. Accessories such as pads, blades, retainer springs, chisels, chucks or any other such attachments are not included.  All Jimy Tools & Equipment air tools are designed for specific purposes and if not used for the intended purpose, they will not be covered by the lifetime warranty. This 24 month warranty is in addition to what is covered in the Trade Practices Act (Aust.), all state and territory laws and regulations and the Fair Trading Act (NZ). Tools that fail due to manufacturing defects or faults may be returned to a Jimy Tools & Equipment authorised dealer for repair or replacement at the sole discretion of Jimy Industrial Pty Ltd t/a Jimy Tools & Equipment.

Jimy Hand Tools – Lifetime Warranty

Jimy Hand Tools are covered against manufacturing defects or faulty materials. This warranty does not cover overloading, abuse, misuse and normal wear and tear. All Jimy Tools & Equipment tools are designed for specific purposes and if not used for the intended purpose, they will not be covered by the lifetime warranty. This lifetime warranty is in addition to what is covered in the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (previously Trade Practices Act 1974) all state and territory laws and regulations and the Fair Trading Act (NZ). Tools that fail due to manufacturing defects or faults may be returned to a Jimy Tools & Equipment authorised dealer for repair or replacement at the sole discretion of Jimy Industrial Pty Ltd t/a Jimy Tools & Equipment, subject to the exclusions set out in these terms.

Jimy Tool Boxes & Tool Kits – Limited Warranty

Jimy Tool Boxes are covered against manufacturing defects or faulty materials. This warranty does not cover overloading, abuse, misuse and normal wear and tear. All Jimy Tools & Equipment tool boxes are designed for specific purposes and if not used for the intended purpose, they will not be covered by warranty.

Jimy Tools must be notified within seven (7) days of receipt of order should the tool box fail due to manufacturing defects or faults. Repair or replacement is at the sole discretion of Jimy Industrial Pty Ltd t/a Jimy Tools & Equipment, subject to the exclusions set out in these terms.

EXCLUSIONS

 

Jimy Tools & Equipment will not warrant the following items:

 

  • Cr-V Sockets used on impact guns (not including impact sockets)
  • Circlip Plier Tips
  • Screwdrivers eg which have been misused as chisels or tyre levers
  • Taps and Dies
  • Ratchets that have been affected by normal wear and tear or that have been dented or grooved.
  • Drill Bits & Impact Adaptors
  • Extension Bars, Breaker Bars and Flex Handles that have had pipe applied for extra leverage or have been stuck with a hammer
  • Cold Chisels and Pin Punches
  • Hexagon Keys
  • Screw Extractors
  • Bolt Cutter Jaws
  • Power Driving Bits and Impact Driver Bits
  • Serviceable parts (including but not exclusive to: bearings, seals, filters, belts, batteries, fluids, fittings, springs)
  • Consumable products (including but not exclusive to: knife blades, hack saw blades, chucks, chisels, pads or any other such attachments).
  • Castor Wheels & Creeper Wheels
  • Tool boxes (if a claim is not made within seven (7) days of receipt of goods)

How do I make a Warranty Claim or Credit Request?

To make a valid claim under warranty you must:

 

  1. Return the product to the place of purchase or to an authorised Jimy Tools & Equipment dealer with a register receipt or invoice clearly showing the date of purchase; and
  2. Provide Jimy Tools & Equipment with any further information if requested.

 

You are responsible for all costs incurred by you to return the Jimy Tools & Equipment product to Jimy Tools & Equipment and all other costs you incur in making a claim under this warranty.

 

To make a valid credit request you must:

 

  1. Email contactus@jimytools.com.au with details of your claim.
  2. Provide all photographic evidence and batch number details (where applicable).
  3. Once your claim has been assessed you will be contacted with an outcome and further instructions.
  4. Online vouchers to the value of the credit claim will be provided once the credit request is approved. These vouchers are not redeemable for cash.

 

You are responsible for all costs incurred by you to return the Jimy Tools & Equipment product to Jimy Tools & Equipment and all other costs you incur in making a claim under this credit request.

Freight

All products must be returned to the place of purchase or directly to Jimy Tools & Equipment with a confirmed register receipt or tax invoice clearly showing the date of purchase prior to freight. Jimy Tools & Equipment may, at its absolute and unfettered discretion, accept any goods submitted for return by the Purchaser and subject to any conditions Jimy Tools & Equipment wishes to impose on such a return.

 

If Jimy Tools & Equipment agrees to accept the returned goods from the Purchaser, the Purchaser accepts that it shall be responsible for payment of all transportation and freight costs in having the goods returned to Jimy Tools & Equipment.

Warranty Claims

If you make a claim under the Jimy Tools & Equipment warranty and none of the exclusions set out above apply, Jimy Tools & Equipment will at its election, repair or replace the Jimy Tools & Equipment product under warranty and return the repaired or replacement product to the purchaser at a cost to Jimy Tools & Equipment.

 

All repairs conducted on Jimy Tools & Equipment products under this warranty must be carried out by an authorised Jimy Tools & Equipment repair agent.

Consumer Warranties

Jimy Tools & Equipment products come with warranties that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law https://www.accc.gov.au/consumers/consumer-rights-guarantees/warranties. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
