OPERATION

  1. Position and securely support the workpiece on the press bed.
  2. Adjust the working bed to the required height.
  3. Centre the workpiece beneath the press head wherever possible.
  4. Close the hydraulic release valve.
  5. Operate the manual pump until the ram contacts the workpiece.
  6. Apply pressure gradually. Never exceed the press’s rated capacity.
  7. Once the task is complete, slowly open the release valve to release the pressure and retract the ram.
  8. Ensure the workpiece remains stable as the pressure is released.
  9. Remove the workpiece only after the ram has fully retracted.

SAFETY INFORMATION

  • This press should only be operated by trained and experienced users.
  • Never exceed the 20-tonne rated capacity.
  • Inspect the press before each use and tighten any loose fasteners.
  • Do not operate the press if any component is worn, damaged or leaking.
  • Position the press on a firm, level and load-bearing surface.
  • Always centre the load beneath the press head wherever possible.
  • Ensure the workpiece is correctly supported and remains stable throughout operation.
  • Never compress springs or unstable objects that may be ejected under pressure.
  • Keep hands and other body parts clear of the working area and moving components.
  • Apply pressure gradually during operation.
  • Always wear suitable personal protective equipment, including eye protection and safety footwear.
